The discussion is part of the Idaho Commission for Libraries' Let's Talk About It program. Since 1985, Let’s Talk About It has brought adult reading discussion groups together with humanities scholars in Idaho’s public libraries to discuss literature. This event is part of a series titled "Starting the Conversation: Race & Racism in America." 

Jennifer Black is a lecturer in English at Boise State University, where she teaches British literature, Humanities and English composition.  She has degrees in Humanities and Comparative Literature from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D in Renaissance Studies from Boston University.  Her research interests include Renaissance women artists and writers, autobiography, and Shakespeare’s plays.
