General Donations

Monetary donations can be made directly to the Meridian Library District or to the Meridian Library Foundation, the Meridian Library's 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation.

Meridian Library District Donations

Donations to the Meridian Library District will be used toward budget items that need to be paid for in the current fiscal year. All funds must be used during this fiscal year and cannot be reserved for future projects.

Monetary donations may be dropped off at any location during library hours.

Meridian Library Foundation Donations

Donations to the Meridian Library Foundation are recognized as an unrestricted gift that can be used for all upcoming Meridian Library District projects. Examples include raising funds for books or technology.

The Meridian Library Foundation, the Meridian Library's 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation, exists to support the monetary needs of the library. You can make an online monetary donation via the Meridian Library Foundation.

Memorial/Honorary Donations

You may choose to remember a special person or celebrate an occasion with your donation. We will send a letter to the honoree or to the family of the person memorialized.

Drop off memorial/honorary donations at any Meridian Library location or mail your request and donation to 1326 W. Cherry Lane, Meridian, ID 83642. 

Please include the following with your memorial/honorary donation: 

  • The name of the honoree or person memorialized.
  • The address to mail the acknowledgement letter.
  • Any additional information we should include in the acknowledgement letter. 

Tax Credit

All monetary donations qualify for the Idaho Public Library Contribution Tax Credit. Donors may obtain a receipt from the library for tax purposes.
