We accept book and media donations at our Cherry Lane and Orchard Park locations. Books must be published in the last 20 years and in excellent condition.
We evaluate donated items on the same basis as purchased materials. Items may be donated to the Friends of the Meridian Library District for book sales or disposed of at the discretion of the library. The library reserves the right to refuse donated items due to space limitations, condition of the materials, and/or requests for special treatment or tracking of donations.
We accept donations of:
- Books (non-fiction published in the last five years)
- DVDs
- Blu-ray
- Puzzles
- Magazines
- Musical CDs
- Video games (PlayStation 4 and 5; Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S and X; Nintendo Switch)
We do not accept donations of:
- Damaged items (writing marks, highlighted, water damage)
- Non-fiction books (published more than five years ago)
- Dictionaries, encyclopedias, and textbooks
- Newspapers
- CD-ROMs (non-musical)
Friends of the Meridian Library District
The Friends of the Meridian Library District is a nonprofit volunteer organization that fundraises and provides program support for the Meridian Library District, primarily through book sales.
