Are you interested in running for the Meridian Library Board of Trustees? There is an election May 21st of this year. All you need to do is file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Clerk of Ada County no later than March 22nd. And, of course, win the election. Learn more about the roles and responsibilities of library boards from the Idaho Commission for Libraries. They also have a FAQ about the elections process.

We Have a New Director!

The Meridian Library Board of Trustees has extended an offer to Gretchen Caserotti to serve as our new library director! Gretchen is coming to us from the Darien, Connecticut, public library, where she serves as Assistant Director for Public Services. She will begin her duties as our new director no later than April 1st, 2013. All of us at the Cherry Lane library, Silverstone branch, and Bookmobile are thrilled to have such an energetic and capable director. We are certain that we have a great future in store! Welcome, Gretchen!
