  • Borrower Responsibilities
    1. Responsibility for all borrowed items as well as the use of the Internet rests with the library card holder and/or the parent or guardian. Maximum fines or items overdue block the usage of a library card and delinquent accounts may be sent to collections.
    2. The Meridian Library District is not responsible for any damage done to your equipment.
    3. Where to Return Items: Electronic Devices must be returned to the Circluation Desks at the Meridian Library on Cherry Lane, Silverstone Branch, or the Meridian Bookmobile. No outside or lobby drops are allowed. All other items may be returned to the outside drops located both at the front and west entrances of the building. Additionally, items bay be returned to any library participating in the Treasure Valley Open Access Agreement.
    4. Only current LYNX! Consortium cardholders in good standing (i.e. library record is not blocked due to unpaid fees or lost materials) and 18 years of age or older can check out equipment.
    5. Computer Usage: A Meridian library card allows access to the public computers at the Meridian Library and at our Silverstone branch. Minors have access to a filtered internet. Other Consortium library cardholders may use their library card to access the computers at the Meridian Library. Money for printing may be added to a library card while at the Meridian Library and its branches.

3. Fees

  • Overdue Fines: The maximum overdue charge for most items is $10.00. Fines may be paid via cash, check, or credit/debit card.
DVD, Blu-ray, and Video Games $.50 per day
Digital Devices $5.00 per day
All Other Items $.20 per day
  • Food for Fines: Nonperishable food items are accepted for overdue fines of $5.00 or less on each overdue item.
  • Lost or Damaged Items: If an item is lost or damaged, the full replacement cost of the item will be charged, plus a $5.00 processing fee per item.
  • Lost or Stolen Library Card: Lost or stolen cards need to be reported to the library immediately. The Library may charge a $2.00 replacement fee for excessive losses.
